Don Edwards

Family is very important to me. That is why my beautiful wife Sandy travels with me. She is an important asset to my achievments. Without her loving support I could have never achieved my dreams.

1981

Artist of the Year for the Louisiana Wild Turkey Federation for their Stamp and Print Program. Mr. Edwards presented this print to President Ronald Regan in the Oval Office at the White House.

1987
Artist of the Year for DUCKS UNLIMITED OF LOUISIANA
1987
Commissioned by the Red River Wetlands to print a commemorative painting to help preserve Bodcau and Loggy Bayou, the last remaining significant wetlands in Northwest Louisiana.
1990
Artist of the Year for the Louisiana Wild Turkey Federation for their 10th Anniversary Stamp and Print Program.

Naturalist, photographer and wildlife artist, Don Edwards' work captures intriguing and realistic moments in nature. He has traveled to Colorado's Rocky Mountains, Wyomings Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Alaska, two trips to Africa - The Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya and Kruger National Park in South Africa has allowed him to witness, photograph and paint some of earth's greatest wildlife images.

Mr. Edwards was named CONSERVATION COMMUNICATOR OF THE YEAR by the 20th Governor's Conservation Achievement Award's Program which was for his work in helping to preserve the Tensas (hardwood bottom land) that is now a national wildlife refuge.
